Additional inclusion criteria were a National Institute of Mental Health Global Obsessive-Compulsive Scale (NIMH-OC) score of at least 7--indicating at least moderate impairment in functioning, and a Hamilton Rating Scale for Depression (HAM-D) score of 17 or less, including a score of 0 or 1 on item 1-indicating the absence of severe depression.
All patients were assessed at baseline and following treatment with four function scales: the Children's Yale-Brown Obsessive-Compulsive Scale (CY-BOCS); the NIMH-OC; the Clinical Global Impression of Severity of Illness Scale (CGI-S); and the Clinical Global Impression of Improvement Scale (CGI-I).
