NPLQ and NaRS courses are based at local swimming pools or leisure centres and are run through approved centres, such as colleges and swimming clubs.
Barry College runs the
NPLQ course three times a year.

Royal Life Saving Society UK (RLSS UK) and the National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (
NPLQ) is encouraging school leavers to consider a career in the leisure industry.
VACANCIES for ASA Level 1 or 2 swimming teachers in locations including Huddersfield, Wakefield, Bolton and Crewe, plus fitness instructors with Level 2 Gym Instructor Certificates, lifeguards with
NPLQ certificates, club attendants and cafe assistants.
The
NPLQ course is pounds 200, including assessment fees and Pool Lifeguard book.
