The NWBLT was launched in 1989 by HRH The Prince of Wales and subsequent Chairmen have included The Duke of Westminster, Neville Chamberlain, Robert Hough (now Chair of the Liverpool City region LEP) and Stuart Chambers, former CEO of NSG Pilkington.
The executives are members of the North West Business Leadership Team (NWBLT), a network of senior business leaders from around the region, who were holding one of their regular meetings at the Old Hall Street premises of the Liverpool ECHO.
Its announcement comes just days after the North West Business Leadership Team (NWBLT) published a report titled Exploiting the Excellence which highlighted the business case for manufacturing and R&D investment in the North West.
Each year the prize is judged by the North West Business Leadership Team (NWBLT) in partnership with Arts & Business North.
