Section 4 characterizes Neuro-fuzzy controller scheme based on brain emotion and some mathematical Fundamentals.
In this section, at first the neuro-fuzzy controller, then the oper- ation of emotional critic, and finally the method of teaching the neuro-fuzzy controller is explained.
The approach was based on the use of several Neuro-fuzzy controllers as are trained, using sample data obtained from a human's control of a robotic arm.
The inputs of the neuro-fuzzy controller used for robot navigation are the distances from obstacles, obtained by left, front, right sensorial groups, like in figure 1, the robot speed and target direction.
The inputs of the neuro-fuzzy controller have associated the following inputs variables: for distances to the obstacles - far and near, for robot speed - fast and slow, for target direction left, center and right.
