, which prohibits the sale or supply of flavoured tobacco products, with an exemption for menthol tobacco products, snuff and chewing tobacco.
On October 1, 2004, residents of Manitoba province, in the prairies, were no longer permitted to smoke in all public places and indoor workplaces within province's jurisdiction under the Non-Smokers Health Protection Act
. Exceptions to the bill include hotel rooms and areas under federal jurisdiction, such as airports, military bases, federal prisons, airports and native reserves.
