The RIS approved by the OBPR will recommend an option.
Any changes to the RIS intended for publication need to be approved by the OBPR.
That is, whenever a government department or agency makes regulation, they are required to comply with the RIA requirements and the OBPR makes the judgment about whether those requirements are triggered and whether they are complied with.
Apart from the OBPR, there are a number of other bodies that effectively regulate the regulators.
The case seems compelling in relation to those bodies, such as the OBPR, the Ombuds man and the Auditor-General, that only have roles in relation to other government authorities.
