The Open-IX Association (OIX
) is an Internet community effort to improve the landscape of Internet peering and massive-scale interconnection.
By joining the OIX -- a leader in the rapidly emerging field of trusted transaction certification and standards -- AT&T is demonstrating their strong commitment to trusted identities and consumer control of personal information as essential to the effectiveness of on-line transactions.
"As a leading service provider, we are excited about participating in the OIX effort to establish an open identity trust framework as part of a broader digital identity ecosystem for a secure and privacy-enhancing Internet."
OIX is a non-profit, technology agnostic, collaborative cross sector membership organisation with the purpose of accelerating the adoption of digital identity services based on open standards.
OIX runs multiple projects with industry leaders from competing sectors to find solutions to problems relating to identity, while supporting dialogue among its members with events and introductions.
"Joining OIX is a great step for Blockpass, and we continue to build strategic alliances and partnerships within the digital identity space," said Adam Vaziri.
The certification also expresses Web Werks's position to advance OIX
's task to improve the global landscape of internet peering and interconnection, applying uniform, cost-efficient standards of performance.
DataGryd said that its 240,000 square feet of data center space at 60 Hudson Street in New York City has received DC OIX-2 certification from the Open-IX Association (OIX).
DataGryd is a supporter of OIX and supports no-cost interconnections and open peering.
In addition, UnboundID announced that it has joined the Open Identity Exchange (OIX
