But giving evidence at the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) hearing, Ms Onade broke down while recalling being sacked over the incident, which she denied any involvement in.
Ms Onade denied even being in the room when the incident was said to have taken place about 6.30am on April 11 2011.
It followed previous evidence in the hearing from midwife Alex Curtis, who claimed she saw Ms Onade removing the infant, referred to as Baby A, from a cot in the stationery cupboard.
