The ORWG template developed in this study facilitated student observations on the experimental process and helped write a more detailed report.
Feedback from participants indicated that they thought the differences between online writing and traditional writing were that online writing provided participants with the opportunity to discuss, write, and assess reports without limitations of time and space, that the ORWG helped student observations on the experimental process and write more detailed reports, and that writing online could save energy and reduce carbon emissions, but it took time to familiarize themselves with the writing platform.
Furthermore, the ORWG, which was provided on the wiki page, facilitated student observations on the experimental process, and students would finish more detailed reports stepwise, which would also enhance students' writing performance.
