Gale and OSLIS
are available to students in Eugene, Springfield and Bethel schools.
Librarians from across Oregon created OSLIS
, they designed the tutorials that help users learn how to search, and they provided EBSCO, a database brimming with full-text newspaper, journal, magazine and original source materials.
The cornerstone of this project is introducing the licensed databases made available through OSLIS
* Oregon School Library Information System (OSLIS
) The mission of OSLIS
is to help all K-12 students achieve Oregon's high standards including information literacy skills by creating, evaluating, and providing cost effective, curriculum based online information resources and by providing for classroom teachers, media specialists, and assistants the training needed to apply these resources in teaching and learning.
