An aromatics plant was designed to use technology from UOP and was to produce 450,000-500,000 t/y of paraxylene, 150,000 t/y of benzene, 150,000 t/y of toluene and 150,000 t/y of orthoxylene.
The complex uses the Cyclar process and produces 350,000 t/y of benzene, about 300,000 t/y of paraxylene, 45,000 t/y of orthoxylene and about 35,000 t/y of meta-xylene.
