He directed that PNCU may be transformed into a semi govermental autonomous body for the betterment of its performance.
The officials of the PNCU shared their vision, mission, thematic areas and issues related to education, science, culture, social and human sciences, communication and information etc.
They said that PNCU works to fulfil Pakistan s obligation as a member state to contribute to the development of UNESCO/ISESCO programmes and strategic priorities to represent and promote Pakistan s interest and contribute to the building of peace, eradication of poverty, sustainable development and intercultural dialogue.
Amna Imran Khan, head PNCU, Muhammad Dawood, Deputy Secretary General and other officials of the organization was present on the occasion.
The Minister was given a detailed briefing on the role, performance and achievements of PNCU and issues confronting to it.
Baligh ur Rehman said the PNCU should primarily focus on collaboration and coordination with the international community and make Pakistan's voice heard in the world through various programmes.
