As provided in the Act, the PNVSCA is mandated to provide minimum benefits, including disability benefits, death benefits and reimbursement of up to P200,000 for qualified volunteers.
The agency also lauded the provision on SB 2200 which tasked the PNVSCA to undertake a nationwide information, education and communication campaign to attain the objective of the measure.
The PNVSCA is currently at the Philippine Sugar Center Building also in Quezon City; while the Tariff Commission can be found on the fifth floor of the Philippine Heart Center, also in Quezon City.
Since 2011, the PNVSCA has recognized 119 volunteers and volunteer organizations whose services have impacted the lives of many Filipinos in the grassroots and disadvantaged sector.
"[Her] long years of involvement as a volunteer and official of the Philippine National Red Cross provided the organization with a leadership steeped in values and sensitivity to people," the PNVSCA said in a post on its website.
"A tireless leader, educator and ambassador of international goodwill, she enabled the formation and training of countless volunteers in the areas of community and humanitarian services that promote protection of human lives and dignity," the PNVSCA said.
