Although the PPEL removed many of the legal barriers preventing a pluralistic media, the existence of state-owned print media creates an uneven economic playing field and indirectly promotes media concentration.
For PVA-GA-PpeG support, one milliliter of PpeL solution (2 mg [mL.sup.-1] in PBS) and 20-40% PpeL ammonium sulfate fraction was used as samples, aliquots (1 mL) were collected (flow of 12 mL [h.sup.-1]) and the column washed with PBS until absorbance lower than 0.003.
PVA-GA-PpeG column was recognized by pure PpeL as well as the same lectin in the 20-40% ammonium sulfate purification fraction.
Here, the PpeG, which is composed of cellulose and glucuronic acid (Rego et al., 2014), was immobilized via entrapment on PVA-GA and used for PpeL and Con A fractionation, glucose-binding lectins.
An internal amino acid sequence of the PpeL was used to design the 5' PpeL primer: [5'-(TC)TT(AG)AA(ACGT)(CC)(AT)CCA(AG) TA(AG)TC(ACTG)CC-3'].
In the total volume of 20 mL the PCR mixtures contained 2.5 mM of [dT.sub.12]XY primer (each), 0.5 mM of PpeL primer, 2.0 mM of dNTPs, 1 mL of RT reaction product, 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 8.3), 50 mM KCl, 2.5 mM MgCl and 1 U Taq polymerase.
No evidence of PpeL mRNA was observed in agarose gel electrophoresis of PCR products (Figure 1).
Our findings of mRNA absence for PpeL seedlings (with no roots) are in accordance with studies related to the expression of a wheat-germ agglutining (WGA) gene in embryos and young seedlings of Triticum aestivum L.
For larger producers using thermoform machines PPEL plan, later in the year, to be able to offer a combination of top and bottom webs.
