Being "very satisfied" with the coresident living arrangement will be used interchangeably with parents viewing that the coresident situation has worked out "very well." Only two parental variables (PSEX and PARMARST) exhibit a statistically significant relationship with living arrangement satisfaction in the final model (Model 3).(4) These relationships are not in the expected direction and are relatively weak effects, contrary to our research hypotheses.
Furthermore, the inclusion of the eight child variables does not significantly alter the strength or level of statistical significance of relationships observed in Model 1 (model chi square = 9.83, N.S.) or Model 2 (model chi square = 50.22, p.<.01), except for PSEX, which exhibits a weak association only after child characteristics are entered into the regression analysis (see Table 1, Model 2).
