The pattern of vascular invasion of
PSTT recapitulates that of normal implantation trophoblast: tumor cells replacing the vascular wall (mainly venous structures) while maintaining the overall vascular architecture.
The first pathology report revealed products of conception without any evidence of
PSTT. After 4 months, beta-hCG was 67 mIU/ml and there was a mass in the cesarean scar, which was hypervascular with RI=0/37 according to the Doppler ultrasound imaging.
Hydatiform mole is a premalignant condition with 16% of complete and 0.5% partial moles undergoing transformation into malignant forms (invasive mole, choriocarcinoma, or
PSTT) [1, 2].
In conjunction with the Barbados Hotel and Tourism Association and other key private and public stakeholders, the
PSTT facilitated focus groups to identify the tourism sector's offensive and defensive positions.
The Differential Diagnosis of Epithelioid Trophoblastic Tumor,
PSTT, Choriocarcinoma, and Poorly Differentiated Carcinomas.--Squamous cell carcinoma and extravillous trophoblastic tumors display histologic similarities including the epithelioid appearance of the tumor cells with cytoplasmic eosinophilia.
In the present study, immunohistochemical analyses were performed to examine the expression patterns of ADAMTS1, -4, -5, and -14 in specific human placenta cell types during gestation, in early hydatidiform moles, and in gestational trophoblastic diseases that are characterized by increased trophoblastic invasion placental site trophoblastic tumors (
PSTTs), invasive hydatidiform moles, and choriocarcinomas.
