Adger is one of 200 "civic entrepreneurs" from ten cities participating in an intensive year of local and national leadership training sponsored by the Pew Civic Entrepreneur Initiative. The cities are Albuquerque, N.M., Anchorage, Alaska, Baton Rouge, La., Greensboro, N.C., Honolulu, Hawaii, Jersey City, N.J., Lexington, Ky., Providence, R.I., Santa Ana, Calif., and Shreveport, La.

The Pew Civic Entrepreneur Initiative (PCEI), a program to build new strategies for leadership, has announced its 20 finalists in a national grant competition among cities with populations between 150,000 and 400,000.
