We hypothesized that bedridden patients undergoing q2h repositioning would demonstrate a triple-jeopardy area (i.e., triple-jeopardy area is not zero).
We chose this time frame to allow for observation of the three distinct positions (supine, turned left, and turned right) during the q2h repositioning protocol.
Regular q2h repositioning of patients is the standard of care that is routinely implemented to reduce the risk of pressure ulcer formation.
