We now have: strategic alignment initiatives, single-point-of-contact (SPOC) requirements, quality right-party contact (QRPC) requirements, and on and on--all of which mean more costs.
The Rover toolkit provides mobile communication support based on two ideas: relocatable dynamic object (RDO) and queued remote procedure call (QRPC).
Rover clients use QRPC to lazily fetch RDOs from servers (see Figure 20).
Updates are committed by using QRPC to lazily propagate the mutating operations to the Rover server, where they are applied to the canonical copies.
Operations with side effects also insert a QRPC into a stable operation log located at the client.
Within the access manager, RDOs are imported into the object cache while QRPCs are exported to the operation log.
One example is the new Fannie Mae quality right-party contact (QRPC) requirements rolled out earlier in 2011 to ensure proper identification and connection with mortgage customers who are delinquent or in default on their home loans.
Some credit unions fell behind the curve in meeting these QRPC rules, owing to the granularity of the rules, which require field personnel to visually confirm whether a property is occupied.
Commerce Velocity, Irvine, California, a member of the Fidelity National Financial family of companies and a provider of default technology, has enhanced its Optimizer solution to help achieve the new requirements for Fannie Mae's Quality Right Party Contact (QRPC) initiative.
The new enhancements are designed to arm servicers with technology to document, as required by QRPC, the varied forms of communication to borrowers regarding the resolution of their delinquent mortgage.
"QRPC has raised the bar for servicers to prove they have been diligent to build rapport with the borrower, understand their financial circumstances and intent, educate the borrower on foreclosure alternatives and obtain a commitment from the borrower on the resolution path going forward," said Umesh Verma, president of Commerce Velocity.
"Complicating matters is balancing QRPC with the Fair Debt Collections Practices Act, the United States Bankruptcy Code and applicable state laws.
