28 December 2016 - US-based oil and gas company SM Energy Company (NYSE: SM) has closed the acquisition of oil and natural gas assets in Howard and Martin Counties, Texas, from QStar LLC and a related entity for USD 1.6bn, the company said.
The company said it plans to apply the proceeds from this divestiture towards its acquisition of assets from QStar LLC and a related entity, a transaction that the company expects to close later in December, and for general corporate purposes.
