The Deputy Commander of RBLF also participated in the ASEAN Pistol Novelty Shoot match which was conducted as part of the opening ceremony.
A total of 55 RBLF personnel are currently participating in the 28th AARM.
The opening ceremony of the symposium began with a welcoming speech by Lieutenant Colonel (Dr) Hj Mas Irman Rukmino bin Dato Paduka Hj Abdul Wahab, Acting Chief Medical Officer, Medical and Health Services, CSS, RBLF
. This was followed with a Keynote Speech on Civilian-Military Interoperability in Medical Emergencies delivered by Lt Geoff Burgerhoff from United States Navy (USN).
The Commander of RBLF emphasised on the preparedness and readiness of the RBLF and advised all RBLF personnel to remain vigilant and adapt to the increasingly challenging strategic environment.
In conjunction with the RBLFs anniversary, the Land Force Doctrine and Future Land Operating Concept books were launched, which will be used as the guiding principles for RBLF personnel in carrying out their roles and responsibilities.

Meanwhile, the closing ceremony of Exercise MALBRU Setia series 14/2018 involving personnel from Company C, Second Battalion of Royal Brunei Land Force (RBLF) and 20th Battalion from Royal Malay Regiment (RMR) also took place on 25 October 2018 at SOP Galasah Farm.
During his visit, he also consists of personnel from the Third Battalion (3Bn) RBLF
led by Lieutenant Md Affandi bin Juna.
