The Research Institute for Advanced Computer Science (RIACS) at the NASA Ames Research Center, located in the San Francisco Bay area adjacent to Silicon Valley, is inviting applications for visiting research positions for visiting faculty, graduate students and advanced undergraduates for the summer of '94 and for post-doctoral appointments of up to two years beginning in the fall of '94.

The English edition prepared by RIAC is composed of 53 articles written by a pool of Russian authors and experts from Armenia, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan, Ukraine and other States of the former USSR, through which the main trends in the development of the post-Soviet space under a political and geographical dimension are analysed.The event included the participation of several media outlets such as Qazaqstan and Sputnik, as well as to representative of different diplomatic missions in Moscow, RIAC experts and the general public.
Before accepting the RIACS assignment, Denning was Head of the Computer Sciences Department at Purdue University, where he was a professor of Computer Sciences (1975-84) and an associate professor (1972-75).
It was coorganized by Charles Pecheur and Willem Visser from the Research Institute for Advanced Computer Science (RIACS) and Reid Simmons from Carnegie Mellon University.
