, which is a special part of the Royal Northern College of Music for the top 200 musicians in the north of England up to 19 years old who have all their music lessons, activities and ensembles each Saturday."
A former member of the National Youth Orchestra of Great Britain she has played at the Royal Albert Hall for the BBC Proms, and at the RNCM
had the privilege of leading both the String orchestra and the Opera orchestra.
Finally Dot was truly finding her voice, and as well as being tutored by Irene Wilde at the RNCM
, she joined a Bach choir in Crewe at the suggestion of her aunt.
She is still studying at the RNCM
in Manchester and has released her own solo disc with the Opera North Orchestra.
The overall show, featuring film music, is directed by Clark Rundell, an RNCM
staffer and former director of the Mer-seyside Youth Orchestra.
Thomas is also at the RNCM
and is currently in his fourth year of undergraduate study with Patrick McGuigan.
