The field research consisted of treatments viz T1, Control (K0Zn0); T2, K0 + RRZn (recommended rate of zinc at soil @ 15 kg Zn2SO4 ha-1); T3, K0 + FZS (foliar zinc spray @ 0.1%); T4, RRK (recommended rate of potassium to soil @ 75 kg K2O ha-1) + Zn0; T5, RRK + RRZn; T6, RRK+ FZS; T7, FKS (1% foliar K spray) + Zn0; T8, FKS + RRZn; T9, FKS + FZS.
The plants fertilized with FKS + FZnS recorded less number of days (49.33) to reach 50% pollen shed, while there was no significant difference between FKS + RRZn and RRK + FZnS due to timely availability of potassium and high fertilizer use efficiency of maize.
The plants having foliar spray with FKS+ FZS (T9) exhibited higher 1000-grains weight (384.67 g), followed by FKS + RRZn (T8), RRK + FZnS (T6) and RRK + RRZn (T5), respectively.
The maximum biological yield was observed in maize fertilized by potassium and zinc as spray on foliage (T9) followed by FKS + FZnS, RRK + FZnS and RRK + RRZn, respectively.
Maximum leaf area per plant was recorded in maize with foliar feeding of potassium and zinc (T9) and statistically at par with FKS + RRZn (T8) followed by RRK + FZnS, while the smallest leaf area per plant (1962.3 cm2) was measured in control plots.
The maize plants fertilized with foliar potassium at the rate of 1% and foliar zinc at the rate of 0.1% (T9) exhibited maximum photosynthetic rate (25 .31 u mol m-2 s-1) followed by FKS + RRZn (T8) and RRK + FZnS (T6), and RRK + FZnS was statistically at par with RRK + RRZn.
ESG 7 initially collocated with 3d MEB in Manila, outside the affected area, and provided supplemental communications via EODMU 5's RRK before embarking USS COWPENS (CG 63), operating in Leyte Gulf, to assume JFMCC and provide C2 afloat.
Note that in each case the paused-after phonological unit is closed (by h, k or rrk); somewhat unusually all are monosyllables in these examples.
Additional support for research by the authors (RRK, MAM) was derived from the US Department of Agriculture, Agricultural Research Service (USDA-ARS), from the Texas Agricultural Experiment Station, the Perry Adkisson Chair in Plant Biology (JEM) and the Advanced Technology Program [000517-0242 (JEM, PEK)].
A new technology from RRK combines the acoustic and electronics experience of ex-naval officer Robert Kerr to overcome these hindrances with the batwinged Deep Siren, described by Kerr as "an underwater loudspeaker inside a kite".
