The SuperTAB pool is a pooling arrangement which operates on a gross pool basis giving participants, including RWWA and ACTTAB, access to consolidated odds, whereby dividends are calculated at the conclusion of all wagering.
Tabcorp, ACTTAB, and RWWA, are the sole licensed pari-mutuel wagering operators in their respective state or territory.
These two separate agreements replace a former arrangement authorised by the ACCC in 2009, whereby ACTTAB and RWWA each acquired fixed odds management services from Centrebet.
Interim authorisation will mean that despite these previous agreements with Centrebet ending, ACTTAB and RWWA will continue to offer fixed odds wagering.
The ACCC considers that each of the 2012 Agreements is likely to result in benefits to the public by improving the stability of the totalisator pools offered by RWWA and ACTTAB, ACCC Chairman Rod Sims said.
