SABINET Online Libraries to Use OCLC Cataloging Services
The project is funded by the Carnegie Corporation and managed by Sabinet Online.
It has currently 46 South African journals, which are searchable individually and provides immediate access to the PDF versions of 6 000+ full-text articles (Sabinet, 2011).
Literature searches were undertaken in the Medline, PsychInfo and Sabinet databases from January 2000 to October 2010 using the key phrases of 'mental health services', 'mental health systems' and 'South Africa'.
* Sabinet online digitized 40 scholarly journals in 2002 and by 2004 another 141 titles were completed.
To achieve these goals, I gathered data from the following resources: the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ), OpenJournals Publishing (OJP), African Journals Online (AJOL), Bioline International, and the Sabinet Open Access Journal Collection.
UBL is a member of SABINET, a library consortium in South Africa, and any materials not available in UBL are obtained from other members of SABINET or other document delivery services through the Inter-Library Loan Service.
