The SCJAS meeting featured the research of nearly 300 high school students from throughout South Carolina as well as a poster session consisting of twenty of the best research projects presented at regional science fairs around the state.

On Saturday, April 14th , 2012 the SCAS and SCJAS will hold our regular annual meeting featuring more than 400 research papers in a variety of areas related to biology, chemistry, and physics.
Following the opening session, students were treated to a variety of breakout sessions including, "How Much Copper is in that Cereal and Vitamin?; Is that Aspirin Pure?; A Changing Climate: Four Million Years Along our Coast; Forensic Anthropology: Whose Bone is it?; and Interpersonal Attraction: What Motivates you to Establish Relationships with Others?." Many of the individuals who presented these sessions have been long term supporters of the SCJAS including Dr.

We have been a part of SCJAS for four years now, and we are extremely happy that so many students are involved with the organization.
SCJAS needs to increase travels funds for schools to attend the annual meeting, from $100 to $200 per school.
