SECCATID developed a school-based drug prevention program, "My First Steps," in 2011 in 100 schools in the municipalities of Santa Catarina Pinula and Mixco, but the program was not expanded in 2012.
SECCATID supported the implementation of a year-long youth-at-risk prevention program (Youth in Action for a Safe Life or JAVI in Spanish), which was funded through the Central America Regional Security Initiative (CARSI) small grant competition.
