Las rocas de afinidad oceanica al occidente del SFCR y que forman gran parte de la Cordillera Occidental (Terreno Calima), estan compuestas por basaltos, sedimentos de caracter quimico y siliciclastico, y rocas piroclasticas denominados al norte de la cordillera Occidental como Formacion Barroso (Alvarez y Gonzalez, 1978) y al sur como el Grupo Diabasico (Barrero, 1979) y Formacion Volcanica (Aspden, 1984).
Dentro del SFCR aparecen bloques exoticos de afinidad de arco y edad Cretacica agrupadas dentro del Complejo Quebradagrande, rocas metamorficas formadas en complejos de subduccion/acrecion del Complejo Arquia, y rocas de afinidad oceanica del Grupo Amaime, cubiertas por sedimentos marinos a transicionales de la Formacion Nogales (Maya y Gonzalez, 1995; Nivia, 1996; Toussaint y Restrepo, 1974; Aspden, 1984; Moreno-Sanchez and Pardo-Trujillo, 2003).
Hybrids based on nontrichomed CMS and trichomed restorer lines had fewer trichomes than the trichomed parent, except the hybrids based on restorer parent SFCR 125.
The GCA effects for chlorophyll content in the CMS lines SPSFR 94010, SP 55299, and SP 55301, and the restorer lines IS 18551, SFCR 151, and ICSV 745 were significant and negative, whereas those for the CMS lines Tx 623 and CK 60, and the restorer lines PS 30710, SFCR 125, CS 3541, and Swarna were significant and positive (Table 6).
