Over 2.23 million people visited the Sharjah International Book Fair (SIBF) that ended on Saturday after 11 days of literary adventures.

He added that the qualitative and various sessions organized by the 33rd edition of the SIBF, and the surge in number of participant publishing houses to 1,256 representing 56 countries, contributed to the increment in number of visitors, noting that about 200,000 visitors were registered on the third day alone, WAM reported.
The teenager debuted as an author during the last year's SIBF with his book 'A Tryst with Life' - a compilation of inspiring short stories, mostly real-life incidents.
Commenting on SIBF, Gopal said: "Organising this book fair in order for the entire population of the UAE to develop a habit of reading and nurturing a liking for cultural engagement, an 11-day event packed with spectacular activities, is incredible!
"New Definition" will be the theme of this year's Seoul International Book Fair (SIBF) to be held June 20 to 24 at COEX in Samseong-dong, southern Seoul.
