Nowadays, Rega has 319 employees (from flight coordinators to aircraft mechanics) and is a privately-run, non-profit organisation--a status it assumed in 1960 when Swiss Air-Rescue broke from the
SLRG and was reorganised to form the Swiss Air-Rescue Association under then-Technical Director Fritz Buhler.
Slrg was preferred as a predictor variable because there were many research studies which stated the relationship between self-regulation and achievement (Yukselturk & Bulut, 2007; Zimmerman, 1990; Zimermann & Martinez-Pons, 1990).
(1.) The
SLRG includes the Secretary of Defense, Deputy Secretary of Defense, the Chairman and Vice-Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, the three service Secretaries, the four service Chiefs, and the five Undersecretaries of Defense.
On April 27, 1952, physician Rudolf Bucher proposed establishing a branch of the Swiss rescue organisation
SLRG (Schweizerische Lebensrettungs-Gesellschaft), to handle air rescue.
