), 1Malaysia Public Housing Project (PPA1M), 1Malaysia Transit Homes and Federal Territory Affordable Homes (RUMAWIP).
Among others who reportedly have met with the Council today were PR1MA Corporation CEO Datuk Abdul Mutalib Alias, Syarikat Perumahan Negara Berhad (SPNB
) group CEO Datuk Ahmad Azizi Ali, and 1Malaysia Public Housing Project (PPA1M) unit head Shuhardi Turaz Radzik Aznan.
Syarikat Perumahan Negara Berhad (SPNB) through its subsidiary, SPNB Idaman Sdn Bhd (SISB) today launched a project to build 454 units of Rumah Idaman Rakyat (RIR) housing project here at a cost of RM120 million.
SPNB chairman Datuk Abdul Latiff Ahmad said construction work on the project which comprises 14 shoplot units, 154 terrace houses as well as flats and condominium units, was expected to take 24 months and would start immediately after it is approved by the local authorities.
He added that Perak was one of the states which had welcomed SPNB's proposal to build more affordable houses in the state.
Also present were SISB chairman Datuk Seri Ahmad Kabit and chief executive officer of SPNB Datuk Ahmad Azizi Ali.

He said currently there were several housing-related agencies being under the purview of different ministries such as the 1Malaysia People's Housing Project and the 1Malaysia Civil Servants Housing Project, under the Prime Minister's Department while Syarikat Perumahan Negara Berhad (SPNB
) is under the Finance Ministry.
Syarikat Perumahan Negara Berhad (SPNB) aims to build 15,000 units of affordable homes at 10 to 15 per cent below market prices nationwide this year, its chairman Datuk Abd Latiff Ahmad said.
He said SPNB, through its subsidiary, SPNB Aspirasi Sdn Bhd, would also continue with the third phase of the Sungai Buloh Laguna Biru housing project, involving the construction of 600 condominum units in the third quarter of this year.
He told this to at the presentation of group life insurance compensation of RM400,000 and funeral expenses of RM2,000 to Rosmaidayu Ismail, the next-of-kin of SPNB employee, Ahmad Azli Mohd, who died from liver cancer in August last year.
The ceremony, which was also attended by SPNB Group Chief Executive Officer Datuk Ahmad Azizi Ali, was held at the SPNB Headquarters, here today.
