If endorsed by the government, petrol price will go up to Rs88.07 per litre from the current Rs84.51, superior kerosene oil
will rise to Rs76.46 per litre from Rs70.18 and light diesel oil will go up to Rs65.30 per litre from Rs64.30.
The price of petrol was increased from around Rs 71 to Rs 88, diesel rate from around Rs 81 to Rs 98 and superior kerosene oil
price from Rs 44 to Rs 76.
In June 2010, GoI decontrolled petrol prices and increased prices of diesel, superior kerosene oil
(SKO) and liquefied petroleum gas (LPG).
After an increase of Rs 0.65 or 07 percent, the high speed diesel rate will go up from the existing Rs 98.45 per litre to Rs 99.10 per litre, superior kerosene oil
, after an increase of Rs 0.13 or 0.20 percent, will jump to Rs76.59 per litre from the existing Rs 76.46 per litre and the light diesel oil price, after an increase of Rs 0.55 or 0.8 percent, will go up to Rs 65.85 per litre from existing Rs 65.30.
The authority has suggested to decrease petrol price by Rs 5.26 per liter, bringing the MS price at Rs 82.81 per liter, while it proposed a slight increase of Rs 0.65 , Rs 0.13 and Rs 0.55 in rates of high speed diesel, superior kerosene oil
and light diesel oil respectively.
Ogra has proposed an increase of Rs3.56 per litre (4.2%) in the price of petrol, Rs6.94 per litre (7.2%) in high-speed diesel, Rs6.28 per litre (8.9%) in superior kerosene oil
and Rs1 per litre (1.6%) in light diesel oil.
As of December 6, 2016, reserves of HOBC were available for 122 days, Motor Spirit for 11 days, JP-I for 12 days, Superior Kerosene Oil
for 15 days, High Speed Diesel for 23 days and Furnace Oil for 24 days.

(SKO) surged by even higher percentage of 8.9 percent.

Similarly, the regulator also proposed an increase of Rs 6.28 per litre in the price of superior kerosene oil
(SKO) and Rs1 per litre in the price of light diesel oil (LDO), which meant a hike of 8.9 percent and 1.6 percent per litre respectively.
