The 10-year risk for cardiovascular disease was assessed using two validated prediction models: the low-risk Systematic Coronary Risk Evaluation (SCORE) and the Framingham Risk Score (FRS).
Researchers from Portugal compared the American College of Cardiology/ American Heart Association risk calculator to the European Systematic Coronary Risk Evaluation (SCORE) in a patient population that was treated with lipid-lowering drugs.
