At Southern Polytechnic State University, we have chosen to look at accepting transfer students from accredited institutions from the TCSG and established an articulation agreement with most of the institutions within the TCSG (Southern Polytechnic State University, 2014; University System of Georgia, 2011).
Since 2009, the TCSG has been in the midst of merging 33 colleges into 24 (see figure 1 for merged colleges.) In the fall of 2011 the system also converted from quarters to semesters.

Athens Technical College and two other system colleges already are working with Saudi Arabia's King Faisal University under an $8 million contract, TCSG Commissioner Ron Jackson said recently.
The changing educational landscape in our state now includes a robust Technical College System of Georgia (TCSG), with almost all of the system's 25 campuses having met rigorous regional accreditation standards.
The fund will be administered through the TCSG Office of Adult Education, which manages the state's GED instruction and testing programs.
