The test used was the Teacher Observation of Classroom Adaptation-Revised (TOCA-R), which consists of 10 questions about how the children behave in class.
The 10 items on the TOCA-R ask whether the child breaks rules, breaks things, fights, harms others, harms property, lies, is stubborn, teases classmates, takes others' property, and/ or yells at others.
For the 15 years that the TOCA-R scale has been in use, investigators assumed that the aggression measured by its 10 items was a single factor, she said.
