"In September, for example, TriMarc
is launching LC5, a lidocaine 5% topical anesthetic cream-anorectal that is currently much needed in the marketplace."
In 2001, TRIMARC became the first transportation management group in North America to test AIRS.
TRIMARC has been using AIRS for about 2 years at the high-crash intersection of Brook and Jefferson streets in downtown Louisville.
TRIMARC's goal is to deploy the system just long enough to gather sufficient data to increase safety at this intersection and then move the system to another high-incident location.
Developed through a cooperative effort between the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet and the Indiana DOT, TRIMARC (www.trimarc.org) is short for Traffic Response and Incident Management Assisting the River Cities.
In addition to providing regular, daily travel information, TRIMARC also has been instrumental during special events in the Louisville area.
"One of our major objectives is to convey traffic Information to the community by various means," says Barney Leslie, TRIMARC program manager.
