The high level of agreement between TCD and angiographic findings in acute ischemic stroke patients was shown in several studies [8, 9] and the patterns of intracranial arterial occlusion and recanalization on TCD are determined using the thrombolysis in brain ischemia (TIBI) grading system [8].
