Due to the limited reach of population surveys, especially telephone surveys, drug-monitoring systems around the world have in recent decades included face-to-face interviews and survey research within select high-risk populations in sentinel sites (Rapkin & DuMont, 2000; UNIDCP, 2002).
The centralised work of the Dublin Group is carried out in close liaison with the Presidency of the main Member States of UNIDCP, but the Group has 10 regional subdivisions and Mini Dublin Groups monitoring the situation in specific host countries in terms of the legal situation and the organisation of controls.
