The
V70 was long one of the most desirable premium estates and so resale values have remained strong compared to others of a similar size.
The

Getting too radical in terms of design would alienate existing Volvo buyers without attracting the sort of aesthetes who would normally shop for an Audi or a BMW, so Volvo wisely played it rather safe with this current
V70, grafting its family front end and a slick-looking posterior onto a very practical basic silhouette.
In fact, since front wheel drive first made an appearance on this class of Volvo with the 850 and
V70 series models of the mid-Nineties, buyers have mostly been pleasantly surprised at the speed at which this big car can be hustled around tight corners.
The
V70 is instantly recognisable as a Volvo with its solid build, sporty, yet practical stance, dark tinted rear glass, roof rails, bodycoloured door handles and mirrors, large upright tail lights, twin exhaust pipes and smart alloys.
Volvo Car Corporation, a Sweden-based automaker, has updated its S80,

Comparing Vmax and
V70 independently from the distance specialization, SR ([F.sub.1,16] = 164.688, p < 0.001), velocity ([F.sub.1,16] = 622.047, p < 0.001) and mean pulling depth ([F.sub.1,16] = 5.350, p = 0.034) were larger at Vmax.
The figures for a Volvo
V70 are 55.4mpg (134g/km) with the manual gearbox and 45.6mpg with the automatic (164g/ km).
The Volvo
V70 features most of the attributes required when the serious shooting brake seeker heads for the showrooms.
Both cars fall into Vehicle Excise Duty Band C -costing motorists just pounds 35 per year -and Volvo estimates the new 119g/km engine reduces annual carbon emissions by 150kg over the S80 and
V70 DRIVe's previous low of 129g/km.
