CMs and VLDL scatter light and result in turbidity (triglyceride >2.5 mmol/L).
A 1-unit rise in BMI increases the triglycerides by 5.6mgd[L.sup.-1] and VLDL by 1.15 mgd[L.sup.-1] and an increasein one year increases cholesterol levels by 2.16 mgd[L.sup.-1] and LDL by 1.66 mgd[L.sup.-1].

In comparison with control group, the serum levels of TG, total cholesterol, LDL and VLDL were significantly increased in high-fructose diet (E2) (P<0.01) and High Fructose + T.
Serum lipid profile showed no statistically significant difference between the two groups as TG, LDL, VLDL, and non-HDL were compared (p > 0.05) except for TC and HDL (p = 0.001, <0.0001, resp.) (Table 1).
Not only the LDL but also the very-low-density lipoproteins (VLDL), the physiological precursors of the LDL, might share the responsibility of the onset and builds up of the atherosclerotic plaques [9].
