"As mothers, we can and should take action to safeguard our children's lives and ensure their secure future," said Wadas. "Mothers Arms advocates that women educate themselves and prepare to take an active role in the protection of those they hold dear.
"There's so much emotion regarding gun issues that logic is tossed out the window," said Wadas. By taking a broad-based approach to self defense, Wadas said she is able to keep the lines of communication open with people who are anti-gun.
For example, Wadas cites certain states where even non-lethal, self-defense options such as pepper spray are illegal.
