While e-books are exciting to use and explore, perhaps the most striking aspect of the Whelf initiative is the way in which it shows a thriving climate of co-operation among Welsh universities.
The Whelf e-book project came to fruition because of the enthusiasm of acquisition and electronic resource librarians across Wales, particularly Paul Riley and Helen Thomas of the University of Wales Institute Cardiff, who bore the brunt of co-ordinating this complicated project.
