A chorus of feminist voices, including from networks like the Women's International Coalition for Economic Justice (WICEJ) and the Association for Women in Development (AWID), argued for the importance of feminists carrying feminist perspectives into global movements for social change and assuming greater leadership roles, particularly at the WSF.
