WMOF event, moved to Ireland from the Philippines about 17 years ago.
It was likely the first time in
WMOF history that an openly gay man (O'Shea) spoke without declaring himself an avowed celibate.

"We are singing because no openly LGBTI voice will be heard at the
WMOF during the three-day event and there will be no images of LGBTI families on display either."
The
WMOF said it they will do its best to keep volunteers close to where family and friends will be.
WMOF 2018's secretary general Fr Timothy Bartlett said: "While I was cautious at the beginning, and while I am a little surprised every part of the event is booked out six weeks in advance, I am not surprised at all by the incredibly high levels of interest.

WMOF spokeswoman Brenda Drumm said demand has been high and that tickets are available on a first-come-firstserved basis.
But
WMOF organisers said security measures have been put in place to ensure tickets are not sold on by touts.
