The global summit saw a record attendance of about 1,500 senior delegates, including over 100 WTTC member CEOs, 300 media, more than 20 ministerial delegations, as well as serving and former heads of state.
WTTC aims to inspire delegates with change-making individuals and ideas to craft the future vision of Travel & Tourism.
WTTC earlier defined total contribution to include not only the economic activities of directly related industries, but also the wider effects from investment, supply chain and induced income impacts.
In its online report, World Travel and Tourism Council (WTTC) said that the country's efforts to improve security infrastructure helped drive up visits 16.5% in 2018.
