The West Virginia Geological and Economic Survey (WVGES) will accept applications for about $745,000 in Broadband Technical Assistance Grant funds, subject to the availability of funding.
The WVGES Broadband Technical Assistance Grant Program comes as part of the State Broadband Data Development Grant, by the National Telecommunications Information Administration (NTIA) to attain the objectives of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009.
WVGES Broadband Data Development Grant has the purpose to map broadband availability in the state, create regional and statewide plans for increasing awareness and demand for broadband, and to offer technical assistance to communities and organizations.
