NYO-USA is the first American youth orchestra organized by Carnegie Hall's
Weill Music Institute. Starting from 2013, the finest young musicians across American have been selected via an audition process and granted a full scholarship to attend a two-week residency in summer with leading orchestral musician coaches, followed by an international tour with a world-class conductor and soloist.
Carnegie Hall's
Weill Music Institute (WMI) has created PlayUSA, a new pilot program that will provide grants and programmatic support to a range of instrumental music education projects across the United States.
ESO does participate in the nationwide Link Up program for elementary schools from Carnegie Hall's
Weill Music Institute in New York, which favors lower income students.
The evening concert saw 18 talented Abu Dhabi students take to the stage with the members of The Declassified, a chamber music group comprising alumni of The Academy -- a prestigious training programme for young professional musicians run by New York City's Carnegie Hall, The Juilliard School, and the
Weill Music Institute.
Upon launch, TAP became part of the
Weill Music Institute, the educational and community programs arm of Carnegie Hall.
Musicians from The Academy -- an ensemble group comprised of performers from Carnegie Hall, The Juilliard School and the
Weill Music Institute will collaborate with Emirati opera singer Sara Al Qaiwani in an intimate evening of Mozart, Schubert, Ravel and Schumann.
Funds raised by the Real Estate Council via membership also support The
Weill Music Institute (WMI) at Carnegie Hall.
The Rite of Spring Project, presented by The
Weill Music Institute at Carnegie Hall and the Berliner Philharmoniker education program, gave students from public schools in Harlem the opportunity to perform movement to Stravinsky's iconic score, played by the Berlin Philharmonic.
In partnership with Carnegie Hall and the
Weill Music Institute, Juilliard has launched a new fellowship program called "The Academy," intended to help talented graduates balance the cultivation of their craft with teaching and community outreach.
