The evening will also include performances from area musicians Think Easy, Old Jaw, and Watch City; live art making and hands-on demonstrations on silk screen printing with Lab artist Fred Wimms
, featuring original year five artwork by Elgin artist Chris Palm; cake from Elgin's Herb's Bakery; and more.
In its first year in 2011, the event drew 3,500 people and, as set designer Freddrick Wimms (an Elgin High School graduate) recalls, local businesses ran out of refreshments due to the high traffic that first year.
"Its been like a ball rolling down a hill," said Wimms, who imagines and builds all the events set designs.
Wimms likens Nightmare to the popular Lollapalooza music festival in Chicago.
