The study adopted the work locus of control scale developed by Spector (1988) to measure the locus of control of employees in employment situation.
In consistent with the Rotter's (1966) general internal and external locus of control scale, the work locus of control scale also distinguishes the two dimension of the locus of control - externality and internality.
We assessed WLC using the 16-items from the Work Locus of Control Scale
(WLCS) (Spector, 1988).
Accordingly, we dropped seven items from the work locus of control scale
and five items from the SWB scale.
The participants completed the Work Locus of Control Scale (WLCS; Spector, 1988).

In addition, respondents completed the Work Locus of Control Scale
(WLOC: Spector, 1988).
Spector (1988) has recently developed a work locus of control scale.
Spector's (1988) work locus of control scale consists of 16 items to which subjects respond on a six-point scale (1 = disagree very much, 6 = agree very much).
